Trading Day 1 For those who need to replace injured players or to replace players who are just not performing (like Dave G who needs to cut his franchise man Plaxico Buress who is serving a 2 year jail sentence for shooting himself) Trading Day 1 is just around the corner. It will be at HQ this Sunday at 4pm before the week 6 fixtures ie prior to the Sky doubleheader of New York Giants @ New Orleans & Arizona @ Seattle.
How Trading Days Work
For Craig’s information (and as a reminder for everyone else of how this important day will work) here’s what you do. Firstly this is one of only two times when you can make changes to your team. Trading Day 2 will be before the week 11 fixtures on Sunday 22nd November. On Sunday we all give up any players we wish to cut in the order of lowest scoring owner to highest. Then the lowest scoring owner will select 1 replacement player followed by second lowest and so on. Once the highest scorer has selected a replacement player we return to the lowest and so on until all rosters are full again. You may select players dropped by others but you must end trading with a legal squad (1 x Coach, 1 x Kicker, 1 x QB, 2 x RB, 3 x Receivers). If you cut a Franchise player you must still pay him until his contract is up eg if Dave G cuts WR Plaxico Burress he will still have to pay him his $2m salary until the end of his contract and so will only have up to $8m to spend on his players until the end of the year. So running from worst to first trading order will be:- 1 John, 2 Ron, 3 David S, 4 George, 5 Mark, 6 Aaron, 7 Wayne, 8 Craig, 9 Dave G, 10 Cheryl, 11 Daz, 12 Johnnie, 13 AP, 14 Andy H, 15 Marcus and 16 Chief. If you intend to come to HQ please let me know. If you intend to trade but can’t get here let me know and we’ll work out the best way (phone or email). If you don’t want to trade anybody, do nothing. It’s that simple. I’ve re-attached the Player Salaries and a list of the new players now available to you.
BUMS Players Hall of Fame
Don’t forget I need your Hall of Fame nominations by Sunday as well. Thanks to the 10 owners who have already sent them through. I have re-attached the details of the 11 men who have been chosen for nomination. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me asap. The 4 highest scorers will join the selected band of BUMS Hall of Fame players that includes Morten Anderson, Tom Brady, Shaun Alexander, Marvin Harrison, Wesley Walls and Bubba Franks.
